Treasure of the Quarter

Jaccard Research Library

The Amelia Island Museum of History Collection reflects the Museum’s mission statement to foster "… community and visitor appreciation of Nassau County’s unique history within the broader context of Florida, National, and world history." The collection currently includes approximately 500 books, over 1000 photographs, more than 300 maps, documents, letters, booklets, bills of sale, etc., and many objects such as weapons, hats, and toys of historical value. We are currently working to catalog all the items that have been donated or acquired. Check our online archives to keep up with recent additions.

The Jaccard Research Library also contains extensive vertical files relating to our distant and current history. Information on historic homes and buildings can be located using the address of the home or building. Biographical information has been collected on more than 500 individuals. We also have a map and newspaper collection.
